Start Museum keep a unique research perspective, believing that art was conceived at the conception of human life, and will eventually fade away at the end of it. This shapes the museum’s understanding of art, artists, art in relation to politics, society, natural forms, and more. Start Museum stands firmly on the side of history and culture of China, and human individuality, promoting pioneering, independent, and speculative artistic works and art scenes.

The exhibition is free of charge for senior citizens over 70 years old (inclusive), children under 1.2 meters (inclusive), people with disabilities, and active military personnel (with valid documents). Students with full-time undergraduate education and below (excluding adult education) enjoy 20% discount with valid identification, such as student ID (including Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan) and teachers (with teacher's certificate).
