Michelangelo Pistoletto was born in 1933 in Biella, Italy. He is one of the leading representatives of the art of poverty, whose work focuses on ideas and the integration of art and everyday life in integrated art.
Pistoletto’s work has been exhibited in several international exhibitions, including the Venice Biennale once, and four editions of Documenta in Kassel. His work is included in public collections such as the Tate Gallery, London, the Guggenheim Museum, New York, the Museum of Modern Art, New York, the Museo d’Arte Contemporanea di Castello di Torino, Italy, the Museo d’Arte Contemporanea, Barcelona, and the Museo d’Arte Contemporanea, Antwerp, Belgium.
