We are pleased to announce the recent release of the book Genealogy Study of Artists No.9 Wang Xiaoqu: Welcome, edited by the Start Museum preparatory team and published by Star Art Press. The book follows the eponymous exhibition of the artist Wang Xiaoqu at the SSSSTART, it compares inner logic and creative path of the young artist from 2014 to the present, which also is one of the most important achievements of the Start Museum “Genealogy Study of Artists”.
Start Museum research team has written a research article on Wang Xiaoqu’s multiple practices in painting, together with an in-depth conversation with the artist, to examine the current creation and understanding of the latest generation of painting artists ( Wang Xiaoqu as representative) from multiple perspectives. The book also contains over 20 works, as well as images of the artist’s works, sketches, studio, and installation views of “Genealogy Study of Artists No.9 Wang Xiaoqu: Welcome”.
